At Klokker Mexico we are passionate about watches and jewelry and the world that revolves around them. We began repairing watches since 2003 to ensure their histories kept going on, later in 2016 we began repairing jewelry. Back in 2014 we launched our digital magazine with a goal of sharing the enjoyment of watches with Mexican audiences.
Our Mission is simple: each piece of jewelry or watch is a great responsibility for us to be treated with the upmost care, because they represent unique histories and memories for our customers. Our editorial content acts as a bridge between the international watchmaking industry and our audience in Mexico while nurturing our watch repair expertise and our relationship with our valued customers.
Back in 2003, our founder, Mr. Héctor Luis Huitrón, set up the first Klokker Watch Service Center inside a space belonging to the famous Mexican department store chain: Liverpool. This service center located inside the Perisur shopping mall in Mexico City proved a huge success due mainly to the market’s need to have a trustworthy repair shop with great service and the backing of a huge department store like Liverpool.
In 2005 we opened four more Service Centers inside other Liverpool department stores due to the success of the first one, these were located in several Mexican cities like Xalapa,Ver Ecatepec, Estado de México, Veracruz,Ver and Coapa, CDMX.
Throughout 2006, our passion for repairing timepieces with great care, quality and service, made us grow up exponentially all across Mexican territory and soon we opened 21 more Service Centers.
In 2012, having innovation as one of our core fundamental values, we did a complete reengineering of our control and quality assurance processes and ended up developing our own control and administration system called Watchmaker Management Service (WMS) that allowed us to keep track in real time of all our Service Centers nationwide. This allowed us to take quality and customer service to levels unheard of in the Mexican watch repair industry. Our goal with this is clear: have processes, controls and operations working at 100% efficiency.
After 11 years working in the watch repair market, we found out that what we not only loved repairing watches, but also talking about them with a passion. Thus out of this, Klokker Digital Magazine was born in 2014 to bring fellow-minded watch enthusiasts a while new experience about the watch universe. Also in 2014 we launched our own dedicated Call Center as well as a Customer Service Central to provide support to all our customers nationwide. Our customers can reach us via several means like telephone, email, SMS and social networks. All our customer service is totally transparent to them.
At the end of 2014 we got officially certified by Grupo Tiempo (distributors for several watch brands in Mexico) and allowed to repair timepieces for Timex, Nautica, Versace, Hugo Boss and Versus brands.
In 2015 we reached 1.5 million timepieces serviced since we began operations.
Klokker Digital Magazine thoroughly covered SIAR 2016 in Mexico City achieving the most active and relevant Digital and Facebook event coverage in Mexico among specialized media. Klokker Digital Magazine also covered different brand events for Oris, EDOX, Formula 1, etc. Establishing itself as the most important digital media watch magazine in Mexico.
During that year, we also got certified by Mexican distributors for EDOX (Swiss Made), Alexander Christie, Anna Klein, Kenneth Cole, Vince Camuto, Armitron and Slazenger.
Is also during this year that Liverpool allows us to participate with them in an internal project for performing jewelry repair and after-sales service. This made us receive certifications from brands like Salvini, Centeralia and Jayda. Our first central jewelry repair and service facility is opened and entirely dedicated to service jewelry and timepieces for all of Liverpool’s 130 department stores nationwide for the brands that Klokker is certified to handle.
Klokker and Klokker Digital Magazine attend Baselworld 2017 –the most important watchmaker fair in the world- looking to expand its media reach and build sold relationships with international brands looking to provide Mexican audiences with their latest news and product launches.
During 2017, the Mexican subsidiary of Casio via Casio America INC certifies Klokker and allows us to perform warranty service and repairs for their Casio, Baby G and G Shock brands. Later this year, we achieved certification for the Invicta and Technomarine Brands.
During the last quarter of 2017, we opened another 3 service centers inside Liverpool stores, reaching a total of 38 Service Centers nationwide.
Today we are a team of 75 passionate individuals working to keep the history of timepieces alive and at the same time, we aim to bring the universe of watchmaking closer to our Mexican audience. Our daily work is guided by a sense of purpose based in an organizational culture of innovation, quality, service and honesty with the end goal of keeping alive the timepieces our customers entrust to us, because more than simply being their personal item, they belong to their own personal history.
